With augmented reality, the inputs that will appeal to the human senses and activate their feelings are modified and enriched by the computer, and the new reality that emerges is presented to the user's perception. Enrichment takes place in real time and interacts with surrounding elements. With Augmented Reality, the user can i

There are technologies developed for the use of our sense organs other than these two senses. One of them is an olfactory mask tha

Hello there! We are here to talk about Mindmeister today.                Concept maps are individual learning tools that show the connection of concepts with other concepts in the same category. In other words, they are concrete graphics that indicate the connections of a single concept with other concepts in the same category.                Concept maps help to make meaningful connections between previous knowledge and new knowledge by making the new knowledge clearer. Concept maps based on meaningful learning provide a more permanent and long-term learning instead of memorization in individual field learning. Concept maps have functions such as visualizing, associating, concretizing and classifying information. However, its most important function is to make information meaningful. Concept maps can be used effectively in defining the scope of new units to be learned, determining students' readiness levels, revealing and eliminating conceptual misconceptions, and

Hello! In my new post, I will try to explain Quizlet.                When it comes to education, Quizlet takes a different path from other online learning platforms and learning management systems. Unlike Khan Academy or Lynda.com, which rely on video lessons, Quizlet uses user-generated sets of terms and descriptions. While these sets lack the appeal of videos, Quizlet has added systematic features to its repertoire for rote learning. With access to literally millions of groups, students can practice just about anything from intermediate Spanish to early American history. Especially popular with language learners.                Quizlet simply focuses on ease of use and memorization. For free, students can search and create sets and learn using six study methods, from Quiz mode to Galaxy play. For a small fee, they can upload their own images and audio recordings. Similarly, teachers can purchase an account to create online classes and track student attendance.

Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning

Hello everyone! Today we are going to look at what "Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning" is. Let's get started.                Multimedia instructional messages that are developed in light of how the human mind works are more likely to lead to meaningful learning than those that are not. This is a key premise driving research on multimedia learning. The cognitive theory of multimedia learning is based on three learning principles: the human information processing system has dual channels for visual/pictorial and auditory/verbal processing (i .e., dual-channel assumption) , each channel has a limited processing capacity (i .e., limited-capacity assumption) , and active learning entails carrying out a coordinated set of cognitive processes while learning  ( i.e., active processing assumption) .               The cognitive theory of multimedia learning defines five cognitive processes in multimedia learning: selecting relevant words from the presented text o

Types of Presence

Resim
Hello to you all! In this post we are going to learn what types of presence are. Let's begin!                                              According to research on the Community of Inquiry model (Garrison, Anderson, Archer 2000), the most important variable in teaching and learning effectiveness and satisfaction is your presence and participation with your students! What does it mean to be present? “Being there” is the simplest description.                 The Community of Inquiry research sheds light on the actions and behaviors that underpin that clear and simple practice. Three dimensions of presence were postulated by Garrison, Anderson, and Archer: social, teaching, and cognitive.              Social Presence:   Planning for social presence is one of the best strategies to ensure a successful launch of an online course. Faculty and students create social presence by “projecting their own characteristics into the dialogue so that they become ‘real people.'” S
