            Flipgrid is a response system that allows students to explain or demonstrate their learning using video. These replies are uploaded under the topic and placed in a grid so they can be easily viewed, accessed, and commented on by the teacher or other students.
            Using the Flipgrid environment, teachers can easily gather information about their students' understanding and progress. Teachers also have the opportunity to listen to all of their students – even those who are shy or afraid to speak in class because of insecurity.
            Flipgrid students create and strengthen social learning communities as they discuss their ideas and experiences with their peers. Flipgrid strengthens the student voice and supports the development of global empathy as students immerse themselves in each other's learning processes and perspectives.
            One of the main goals of primary education is to help students communicate effectively. Educators often report that they want to help students develop their voices to communicate orally. Flipgrid is designed to do just that. For example, you can ask your students to describe a famous person they know. Students see how they are perceived as they create each video. They can also provide feedback on the videos they have created. Throughout this process, Flipgrid helps students communicate stronger and become digital citizens.
            Young students may not have much experience in communicating their ideas to a wider audience. Flipgrid gives them the opportunity to both improve their voice and learn how to present themselves. Repeated experience using Flipgrid increases feelings of social connectedness and positively reflects on academic performance. Young learners who encounter Flipgrid for the first time need to know that this is a safe space. With the use of Flipgrid in subjects that encourage creativity, students can develop confidence. Regardless of your students' age, one of the best ways to help students feel comfortable with Flipgrid is to introduce your topic and model it for students by creating a video on the topic.

While these sets lack the appeal of videos, Quizlet has added systematic features to its repertoire for rote learning. With access to literally millions of groups, students can practice just about anything from intermediate Spanish to early American history. Especially popular with language learners.                Quizlet simply focuses on ease of use and memorization. For free, students can search and create sets and learn using six study methods, from Quiz mode to Galaxy play. For a small fee, they can upload their own images and audio recordings. Similarly, teachers can purchase an account to create online classes and track student attendance.
