Busuu

            Hello there! Today I am going to talk about a language application Busuu. 

            The Busuu app is a really useful opportunity for those who want to learn languages. Languages you can learn using Busuu: German, Russian, French, English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Polish, Turkish and Arabic. It also gives you options for the level you want to learn in most languages. These options are full language course, language pronunciation, language for travel and language for work. For those who want to learn English, it also offers fun options such as learning with New York Times videos, London Central TV series and the Economist.

            The education, which starts by learning the basics, progresses by improving your pronunciation, grammar, listening and comprehension skills. One of the features that makes the application successful in real life is that native speakers can correct your exercises. As a native speaker, you can also correct the exercises of other users learning your language. Busuu is also a social app, which means you can add friends.

            Another good thing about the application is that it shows you the topics and words you are not good at, intermediate and good at, that is, it summarizes. If you want, you can repeat these topics.

            You can also get a certificate in the application. There are separate certificates for levels starting from beginner and advancing. All you have to do for this is to solve the exam for the level you want to get certified for.

            The only disadvantage that I can say as a user of the application is that if you want to learn beyond a certain level in any language, you have to pay for a premium account. Although the prices are increasing day by day due to the economy, if you buy the annual plan and work regularly, it is an application that I can recommend as price-performance.

In my new post, I will try to explain Quizlet.                When it comes to education, Quizlet takes a different path from other online learning platforms and learning management systems. Unlike Khan Academy or Lynda.com, which rely on video lessons, Quizlet uses user-generated sets of terms and descriptions. While these sets lack the appeal of videos, Quizlet has added systematic features to its repertoire for rote learning. With access to literally millions of groups, students can practice just about anything from intermediate Spanish to early American history. Especially popular with language learners.                Quizlet simply focuses on ease of use and memorization. For free, students can search and create sets and learn using six study methods, from Quiz mode to Galaxy play. For a small fee, they can upload their own images and audio recordings. Similarly, teachers can purchase an account to create online classes and track student attendance.

In this post we are going to learn Flipgrid.                Flipgrid is a response system that allows students to explain or demonstrate their learning using video. These replies are uploaded under the topic and placed in a grid so they can be easily viewed, accessed, and commented on by the teacher or other students.                Using the Flipgrid environment, teachers can easily gather information about their students' understanding and progress. Teachers also have the opportunity to listen to all of their students – even those who are shy or afraid to speak in class because of insecurity.                Flipgrid students create and strengthen social learning communities as they discuss their ideas and experiences with their peers. Flipgrid strengthens the student voice and supports the development of global empathy as students immerse themselves in each other's learning processes and perspectives.
